On the morning on January 31, 2020 the Campbell River RCMP responded to multiple reports of vandalism, mischief and break and enters to homes under construction in the Arizona Dr and Willow Creek Rd area.

On February 2, 2020 around the lunch hour a male believed to be in his 60's, 5'8", 200 lbs & longer shaggy grey hair was observed to be wearing a black miniskirt and may have intentionally exposed himself.
The suspect was operating a sun bleached, red, older Pontiac minivan near Spit Rd which also had a handicap sticker affixed to the window.

Business Break & Enter / File #20-1234STATUS
February 12, 2020
Campbell River RCMP responded to a report of a Break and Enter and Theft at Western Equipment in the 1400 block of 16th Avenue in the early hours of February 3rd, 2020.
Thieves broke through a concrete wall to gain entrance to Western Equipment and stole thousands of dollars of tools and clothing sometime between the end of business on Friday and the time the Break In was reported early Monday morning.
The bulk of the power tools stolen were Makita brand grinders, drills and saws. A significant amount of Jet Brand wrenches were stolen as well as multiple pairs of Viking Brand cork boots.
Police are requesting information from anyone that may have seen anything, has surveillance in the area, or has been approached to purchase new tools or equipment from a non reputable source. On December 9th, 2019, the Fountain Tire on Willow St was broken into & once inside, the suspect searched for items to steal.
Though this is the only image we have at this time, Campbell river RCMP are hopeful that perhaps somebody recognizes this jacket the suspect was wearing during this break & enter. Maybe it rings a bell for somebody out there and the suspect may be known to them, so worth a shot.

Recovered Fork Lift Forks / File #20-314

Last week, Campbell River RCMP recovered a stolen flat deck trailer (File #20-185), where we posted video of suspects with a truck stealing this (they remain at large and still need to be identified).
During the recovery of the trailer, police also located a set of forks which are likely also stolen. They're trying to determine its rightful owner.

Residential Break & Enter - Theft Over $5000 / File #19-16357STATUS

Between December 17 & December 24, 2019, unknown suspect(s) forced entry into a residence on Nicholls Rd . Once inside, an assortment of property was accumulated including firearms that had been properly locked up / secured. A vehicle was also stolen from the garage, though later recovered by police.

Firearms, Crossbows / archery equipment, Fishing accessories, Rods & Downriggers; Video game consoles & games, Computer monitor, Jewelry, Musical Instruments, Personal Identification / Documents, Clothing, Power / Air & Hand Tools, Alcohol & other household items.

During the past week, somebody gained entry to DKS Industries, a metal fabrication shop & stole some unique machinery. Police are asking our local community to keep an eye out for these items should you come across them anywhere.

Photo #2 - 3 to 4 of these Hydraulic cylinder rams, one yellow in color and each 1 foot in height. One also had "GUS" written on the side.

Between the early morning hours of 3am and 5am September 1st, the Gold River Deli located on Nimpkish Drive in Gold River was broken into. After entering the store, the suspects proceeded to steal an undisclosed amount of cash, and cigarettes.
Nootka Sound RCMP are requesting the public’s assistance in locating the person or persons responsible for this occurrence. An image of one of the suspects was obtained from the in-store video. Around August 15-16, 2019, a Break & Enter occurred at Rich's Auto Collision where the compound was forcefully entered and three oversized wheels (photos attached) were removed and stolen from a Hummer H2 parked within.

On June 25th, 2019 just before 11 AM, the individual riding the bicycle in this photograph produced a weapon & committed a Robbery at the Thrift Store on 2nd Avenue in Campbell River, then fled. Thankfully, nobody was injured!
There was but a glimpse of the suspect in the photo, though Campbell River RCMP are seeking the public's assistance for further information that could lead to the identity of the person responsible described as:
Male, wearing dark pants, dark gray hoodie, & riding a blue & white mountain bike without a seat. (The person in the background is NOT a suspect).

Assault / File #19-4785STATUS
May 06, 2019
On April 27th, 2019 at approximately 4 PM, an older male was driving an SUV, north on the Island Hwy towards Campbell River; while by the Driftwood Rest Stop, he had passed a larger, "lifted" truck operated by another man.
This seemed to cause the male in the lifted truck to follow, confront then assault the older male in the parking lot adjacent to the Willow Point Tim Horton's. This individual then left the area in the noted truck.
Campbell River RCMP are seeking the public's assistance for anyone that may have witnessed this incident and / or may have additional information that could assist with the ongoing investigation & may lead to identifying the male with the "lifted" truck.
