| 1/13/2010 - B&E on Quadra | Crime Stoppers & the RCMP
are looking for the person or persons responsible
for the following B&E on Quadra Island.
January 13, 2010 – B&E occurred on Hyacinthe Bay Road on Quadra Island between November 30th and December 6th. A washer/dryer combination, television and other electronics, as well as bedding were taken.

December 18, 2009: Continental Boat Trailer BCL UGA51T stolen from "Cameron`s Dock" at 1451 Perkins Road. The trailer is gray in colour, high beam aluminum, Disc Brakes, white posts on the back, spare tire mounted on the front and a yellow rope is on the left hand side. The trailer is valued at $8,000.

| | 12/14/2009 - Dodge Ram 1500 TORCHED | In the early morning of December 11th at 5:30 am a silver 2009 Dodge Ram 1500, which was parked at 421 Hilchey Road, was torched. Extensive fire damage was done to the vehicle. A gas can and glove were found at the scene by the RCMP.

| | 12/1/2009 - Tires Punctured (Shady Maples Trailer Park |

Campbell River RCMP are investigating damage done to dozens of vehicle tires, overnight November 30th.
Several of the general duty officers on shift this morning are responding to calls in the area of Shady Maples Trailer Park 951 Homewood Rd. There are several similar incidents reported on Fir St and yet more on Elm St.
Some of the vehicles had multiple tires slashed while others had only one. The damage will amount to thousands of dollars.
The tires have all been punctured, on their sidewalls by a bladed instrument ie a knife, as opposed to a pick style tool.
Police are continuing to gather information on the damages, with more reports coming in.
Campbell River RCMP are asking for the public`s assistance in identifying the person or persons responsible for these senseless acts of vandalism. November 26, 2009 – Four boat propellers owned by the Canadian Coast Guard were recently stolen from the Ocean Pacific locked compound located at 102-1370 Island Highway. Value of these propellers is in excess $15,000.00 .

| | 10/23/2009 - Thieves Make off with Heavy Equipment | On August 19, 2009, between 9:00 am and 12:30 pm, someone entered a construction site on the 5300 Blk. of Alderley Road, in Saanich, BC, and stole a Takeuchi TB135 mini excavator valued at $60,000.00. The suspect`s used a transport vehicle large enough to carry the excavator. The unit is white and red and was clearly marked with "United Rentals".

| | 9/23/2009 - Theft of Chainsaw |

Campbell River RCMP are investigating the theft of a chainsaw from Terry`s Power Equipment, on Spruce Street in Campbell River.
The theft occurred on September 23rd, 2009. Near the end of the business day, the store had 3 people come in who milled about, looked at a number of items, and left without purchasing anything. One of the subjects was carring a duffle bag.
The group came in and a woman described as 5`10" tall, caucasian, well dressed approached the counter and was asking the staff a number of questions.
The two males continued to mill about the store. One of the males is described as 6`3" tall, caucasian, well dressed, approximately 20-25 years of age with short dark hair. The other is described as 5`10" tall, caucasian, heavy build, well dressed, 20-25 years of age, with short sandy blonde hair.
The group left in a vehicle. The saw is described as a Jonsered 2250. It is only the power head. No bar or chain on it. The serial number has been recorded by police. |
